A Special Visit

In Mid-April I was honored to have 3 men from my home church stop in for a visit, Bob Pankratz, Ken Pauls, and Phil Neufeld. They were on their way to the Ukraine and were able to stop in on their way. It was less then two full days, but we packed in as much as possible, and they were great sports! All three of these men have known me for most of, if not all of my life and have walked alongside of me through so many chapters. Bob and his wife Kel, were youth sponsors of mine in high school and then I spent a summer interning with them in Denver during college. God used that summer in Denver in so many ways in my life, but one of the biggest was to give me a passion for missions. So it was so amazing to get to host Bob here and show him a bit of my life and ministry. I enjoyed the weekend tremendously, There is just something very special about getting to share what I love here with people that love me. I was very encouraged and blessed! I'm looking forward to continuing this special colliding of my two worlds in May when one of my brothers and three of my nieces come to visit. I can't wait!

March Fun!

Here are the best moments from March! March 3 is my birthday and I share a birthday with Fernando. Each year, since he was 7 we take a birthday picture together. Its not the best picture ever, but you can clearly see he's not 7 any more. He turned 15 this year. He might pass me in height this year. March 6th, our 13th H2H grandbaby was born. Alex, Ioana and Daria welcomed Eric Alexandru to their family! There was a big flu epidemic going on so even though he was born on the 6th, no one, other then Ioana, including his dad, Alex, were allowed to see him until they were dismissed from the hospital on March 13th. He is super cute and they are doing great. We were unpleasantly surprised by a big snow store in mid-March. Ruthie loves the snow, and was disappointed we'd really had a dry winter up to this point. So we got some play time in, much to her delight! March ended with us preparing for two teams to arrive on the 31st, which means a big grocery shopping trip.

The Holiday Team!

The Holiday Team began in mid-December this year, with a good friend and long time H2H team member, Maredda visiting and helping with the festivities. We had two team members arrive on the 20th, so that they could be here with the transition students and spend Christmas Day with us. Both Kaylee and Nadia have served with us before! The rest of the team joined us on the 27th, with the return of the staff which had been on furlough. It was great to be back together again!
